Well... Here I am

Hello World...

Beginning February 2007, I will be packing up camp here in the States and starting a 27 month adventure in the Dominican Republic. Doing what you ask? I have joined the Peace Corps! I will be a Special Education Promoter... this includes everything from community development to diagnosing to teaching teachers to working with students. My hopes are that this blog will help me stay connected to my family and friends in the States while providing a good dose of entertainment to all who read it.
My staging (pre-departure fun) is February 13th, 2007. So I have a solid 2 months of relaxing, panicing, and preparations ahead of me! I am beyond excited for this adventure to begin. As my mom says... When I get an idea in my head, I plant my feet in that direction and just go, taking in the bumps along the way.
